Physical Activity promotions are activities outside of the classroom that can be held during or outside of the school day that promotes movement or physical activity. This can include a month long pedometer challenge, fundraisers that involve physical activity (i.e. dance-a-thon), or field day. These events engage the whole school community allowing everyone to participate including students, staff, and families.  The Health and Wellness department can provide various resources to help support your schools Physical Activity promotion.  Physical Activity promotions are not only a great way to introduce new types of movement to students, staff, and families it is also a great way to build a strong school community.  Check out these PA promotional ideas –
